A professional Actor, Singer, Musician, and San Diego native, Clarke Thorell has been working professionally since his teens in multiple mediums including Television, Film, Broadway, Off-Broadway, Concert Performance, Voiceover, and session recording.
Highlights include performing the role of ‘Henry Higgins’ in the Broadway revival of “My Fair Lady” at Lincoln Center Theatre; originating the role of ‘Corny Collins’ in the Broadway company of “Hairspray”; playing a four year old British girl named ‘Cathy’ in Caryl Churchill's “Cloud Nine,” at Atlantic Theater Company; and the role of ‘Russ,’ a member of the fictional Australian toddler-pop band, The Woggels, on TVs “30 Rock.”
His creative life is enhanced by his commitment to working with charitable organizations and outreach programs. This includes a 25+ year relationship with Michael McElroy’s Broadway Inspirational Voices, a not-for-profit committed to actualizing positive changes to humanity through the healing power of music.
As a vocalist, Mr. Thorell has performed with artists including Sting, Dave Brubeck, Liza Minnelli, ABBA, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Red Clay Ramblers, Pete Townshend. Among other goals involving the use of his vocal abilities, he aims to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming the next official voice of Walt Disney’s Donald Duck.
